The drilling process is driven by a horizontally mounted spindle carriage, which holds two high-speed pneumatic-driven drill spindles capable of running at 9000 RPM. The carriage is controlled by two servo motors: the x-axis servo, which positions the spindles for correct height, and the y-axis servo, which ensures a smooth drilling function. The first spindle performs the centering function, while the second spindle carries out the drilling, ensuring precise and clean cuts.

One of the standout features of the FDM machine is its high-speed withdrawal mechanism, which allows for efficient cooling and cleaning during the drilling process. This feature not only extends the life of the drill bit but also ensures a more accurate and clean cut, enhancing overall product quality.
